MunchTerms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and CloudPixel ("we", "us") covering the Munch app, website and related services ("Munch"). By using Munch you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Munch.
1. The service
Munch helps you log food and drink by voice or by hand, shows totals and history against a target you set, and lets you share your log with friends you accept. Munch is currently in beta: features may change, break, or be removed, and we may limit or suspend access while we fix things.
2. Not medical advice
Calorie, macro and nutrition figures in Munch are estimates generated by an AI model from your descriptions. They are provided for general information and can be inaccurate. Munch is not a medical device and nothing in it is medical, dietary or health advice. Don't rely on it to manage a medical condition, allergy, eating disorder or pregnancy. See a qualified professional for personal advice.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 to use Munch.
- You sign in with Apple or Google and are responsible for keeping those accounts secure.
- Choose a username and display name that don't impersonate anyone or contain offensive content. We may change usernames that break this rule.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
4. Your content
You own what you log. You give us a licence to store, process and display it so Munch can work, including showing it to friends you've accepted. You're responsible for what you share. Don't log content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes someone else's rights. We can remove content and suspend accounts that break these terms.
5. Friends
Friend connections are mutual: someone can only see your log after you accept them, and you can remove them at any time. If a user is behaving abusively, remove them and email us.
6. Acceptable use
Don't attempt to break into, overload, reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with Munch or its servers; don't use it to harass others; don't use automated means to create accounts or sessions. We may rate-limit or suspend accounts that do.
7. Third-party services
Munch uses OpenAI for voice processing, Cloudflare for hosting, and Apple and Google for sign-in. Their terms apply to their services. We aren't responsible for their availability.
8. Fees
Munch is free during the beta. If we introduce paid features we'll tell you in advance and nothing you've already got will be taken away without notice.
9. Disclaimer and liability
Munch is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CloudPixel isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Munch. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can't be excluded.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date and, where appropriate, in the app. We may suspend or end the service, or your access, if you breach these terms or if we discontinue Munch. You can stop using Munch at any time by deleting your account.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
